We started this magazine platform because there wasn’t any magazines that focused on content for Black girls. As parents to Sade aged 10 and her brother aged 5, it’s important to teach them all about prominent black figures around world, who have helped to create amazing products, services and much more.
With this learning we focus on race and racism. Books have helped us a long the way, however as parents we feel speaking directly to them about racism and the effects it has on society and also individuals is very important to let children understand the world we live in today and how it can impact our day to day lives, especially from our experiences.

Our hearts are heavy from all of these recent tragedies.

  • Keep Learning
  • Keep Teaching
  • Keep Supporting

We wanted to share this artwork from Pretty Good Design, adapted from work by the Children’s Community School. Via The Conscious Kid.
